For an unexpected and delicious chocolate treat try this chocolate based salad dressing on your winter salad.
You can use any combination of salad ingredients you like but this is what I used. Mixed baby leaf lettuce, creamy blue cheese, walnuts, dried cranberries and pear.
I just drizzled the dressing on top of the salad, I didn't coat the salad in it and this made enough for two generous serves of salad, so just increase as required.
Ingredients
2tsp raspberry balsamic vinegar
Method
Put your olive oil in a small saucepan on a low heat. Add your chocolate broken up and stir until chocolate is melted into the olive oil.
Whisk in raspberry balsamic vinegar and salt and pepper.
I made my dressing the night before I took photos and kept it in an air tight jar. It didn't separate, but if it does give it a quick shake. I would recommend only making the dressing as you require it.
