Hot Chocolate Deliciousness

Three Hot Chocolate recipes using our Fairtrade Hot Chocolate mixes for you to enjoy at home.

Ingredients

Makes one hot chocolate, increase recipe as needed for extra servings.

150ml milk

50ml cream
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp Frangelico

Your choice of topping such as cream and chocolate shavings as used in the photo.

Method

Heat milk, cream and cinnamon in a saucepan on low until your preferred temperature for a hot chocolate is reached (don't let it boil).

Add Dark Hot Chocolate mix and whisk it in.

Keep whisking and add frangelico.

Pour into your mug and top with cream and chocolate shavings.

 

We recommend our Hazelnut Corbielle cup as a chocolate match for this hot chocolate.

 

To create chocolate shavings just use a peeler along the side of a chocolate bar.

 

Ingredients

1 orange
1 tsp of cardamom pods

150ml milk

50ml cream

Your choice of topping such as cream, chocolate shavings and orange zest

Method

Zest the orange for your topping.

Juice orange and put in a saucepan bring to a simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from the heat. Use the same saucepan to make the hot chocolate so pour orange juice into another vessel.

Crush cardamom pods lightly.

Heat milk, cream and cardamom pods in a saucepan on low until your preferred temperature for a hot chocolate is reached (don't let it boil).

Add Spiced Hot Chocolate mix and whisk it in.

Keep whisking and add simmered orange juice.

Pour into your mug through a strainer and top with cream, orange zest and chocolate shavings.

1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 tsp treacle

Your choice of topping such as cream.

Method

Heat milk, cream, ground ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan on low until your preferred temperature for a hot chocolate is reached (don't let it boil).

Add treacle and whisk in.

Keep whisking and add Classic Hot Chocolate mix.

Keep whisking until completely combined

Pour into your mug and top with cream and a sprinkle of the hot chocolate mix.

We recommend our milk chocolate covered marshmallow or feijoa and honey chocolate as a match for this hot chocolate.
