This recipe is adapted slightly from a website called ‘Spoonful’ (www.spoonful.com). It is an American website and has some truly creative recipes you could make with kids. This recipe was a hit at the Devonport Chocolates offices, and my husband insisted I save a piece for him, even adults can’t resist it.

Method
Brownie Base
Place the butter and chocolate callets in a medium sized pot and heat over a low-medium heat stirring occasionally until the mix is melted and smooth, put aside to cool.
Heat oven to 180 oC. Lightly grease (or use a cooking spray) a 12 inch pizza pan.
Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk until foamy. Add sugar and brown sugar and whisk until combined. Whisk in the vanilla extract then carefully add the cooled chocolate mixture stirring until combined.
In a medium sized bowl sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Add this mixture to the egg and sugar mixture and beat until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared pizza pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until a knife when inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Leave the brownie pizza base to cool completely.
Topping:
In a large bowl cream the sugar and the butter. (I used my cake mixer, it makes this so easy!)
Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Add red food colouring until you have your desired red (this is the tomato sauce part of the pizza). Spread onto cooled brownie pizza base. I then sprinkled the sauce with shredded coconut (for cheese) and added the rest of my toppings.
And voila, a Chocolate Brownie Pizza! Serve sliced up like a normal pizza, or even better the next time you need to take a plate somewhere, take this in a pizza box!
